La Liga midfield dynamo “open” to joining United to impress national team boss – report

Ruben Amorim is desperate for INEOS to step in during the January window to ease Manchester United’s midfield troubles. However, following their summer splurge, the co-owners are unlikely to spend big to land the head coach’s top targets like Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, and Adam Wharton. That effectively means the club will likely go for a low-cost alternative. With the Red Devils preferring players with Premier League experience, a few avenues have opened up recently. The list includes Joao Gomes, Ruben Neves, and Conor Gallagher, who is currently far from happy at Atletico Madrid.
