Juventus ready to make bid for 24-yo United star who has proven Amorim wrong – report

Manchester United winger Antony has attracted interest from Juventus, as per reports.

Gary Neville has previously likened United to “a graveyard” for talents, as many highly-rated players have joined the Red Devils in recent seasons but have failed to show their skill sets in the iconic red jersey.

In that regard, Antony stands out as the player who experienced the biggest dip in form and reputation following his move to United from Ajax.

The Brazilian winger was Erik ten Hag’s talisman at Amsterdam, impressing top clubs across Europe with his dribbling and passing. The Dutchman spent a fee in the region of €95m to reunite with him at Old Trafford.

However, the 24-year-old rapidly lost his confidence and with that, seemingly his ability too before falling down the pecking order. Ruben Amorim’s arrival did little to change that and Antony departed Manchester for Seville on loan for the remainder of the season.

At Real Betis, Antony has taken little time to rediscover his Ajax form, quickly establishing himself as a key player under Manuel Pellegrini.

Juventus eyeing move for Manchester United flop Antony

The Brazil international’s promising start to life has reportedly led to interest from several European clubs, as per a report in Spain.

According to Fichajes, Juventus is the latest European powerhouse to join the race for Antony’s signature in the summer transfer window.

The Thiago Motta-led outfit are looking to strengthen their attack with a technically proficient forward and Antony supposedly fits the profile.

He has managed an impressive three goals and an assist in just five Betis appearances.

The Old Lady are willing to “enter the bidding” for Antony but it remains unclear if United will decide to open the door for a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Recently, The Peoples Person covered a report stating Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on Antony’s performances in Spain ahead of the summer window. A huge summer move for Antony is bound to put question marks over Amorim’s ability to get the best out of his players.
