Sancho, 22, made his first appearance for United in over three months when he was summoned from the subs bench for the last 27 minutes of their Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg victory over Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. It was a welcome sight for match-goers and those watching on from afar. United had been without the fleet-footed former Borussia Dortmund player throughout the winter months as he took time away from Carrington due to personal matters. Erik ten Hag granted him that absence and shared a touching moment with Sancho when he welcomed back onto the pitch.
