Jadon Sancho faces not one but two rejections as another PL side turns down the chance to sign inconsistent United ace – report

Manchester United continue to be dealt hammer blows by Chelsea this summer window.

Firstly, the Blues won the race for United’s long-term striker target Liam Delap, and now, as expected, they have turned down the chance to sign Jadon Sancho permanently.

Despite the Englishman’s heroics in the Conference League final, Enzo Maresca always had doubts about his consistency, which is why the Stamford Bridge outfit tried to negotiate a new wage agreement with the versatile attacker.

The 25-year-old’s demands ultimately meant Chelsea moved on and had decided to send him back to Old Trafford while paying a £5 million penalty to INEOS.

Chelsea will send Jadon Sancho back to United

Jadon Sancho has no future under Ruben Amorim, and the co-owners will try and move him on as soon as possible and as per Claret & Hugh, reliable source for West Ham news, the Hammers were offered the chance to sign the England international.

The former Borussia Dortmund ace was reportedly open to staying in London but Graham Potter had other ideas and rejected the chance to sign the United star.

“West Ham were offered Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in a deal described as “affordable”, a source has told Claret & Hugh this morning.

“Sancho would have been open to a move to the London Stadium if offered first-team football, it is our understanding that manager Graham Potter rejected the chance to sign the player.”

West Ham also turned down Sancho

C&H were informed: “Potter didn’t want Sancho. Talks were never more than preliminary because the manager said he was looking for a different type of player.”

Saudi Arabia have emerged as a surprise option for the former Manchester City academy starlet, and moving there will mean he will not have to take a hit on his wage demands.

But whether the attacker will move to the Middle East at this stage of his career remains to be seen. On thing is clear, the Premier League’s pace and physicality does not suit him.

What a fall from grace for Jadon Sancho, from once being the hottest thing on the market to now being rejected left, right and centre by English clubs.

If only he could have kept his ego in check and worked diligently at Carrington instead of throwing all his toys out of the pram.
