“It would be a permanent transfer:” Roma intent on signing United midfielder if one crucial condition is met – report

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro looks likely to remain at the club in the near term after being linked with a move to AS Roma.

Yesterday, The Peoples Person acknowledged that Roma have reportedly expressed an interest in Casemiro, asking for information on the midfielder.

Suddenly, it appears as if the Brazilian’s move might be off the cards.

This morning, CaughtOffside reported: “Sources understand that Claudio Ranieri has indicated that he wants Casemiro to play for him because of his incredible experience and for the characteristics he exhibits on the pitch.”

“It would be a permanent transfer rather than a loan move too; however, for this transfer to take place, Leandro Paredes will have to leave the Giallorossi.”

According to the report, there is little interest from other clubs for Paredes, thereby obstructing Roma’s move for Casemiro despite their alleged interest.

Roma still appear to be the most likely buyer for Casemiro amid an array of transfer links.

While Al-Nassr were believed to be interested in the midfielder, they appear less likely to make a move for Casemiro given their fresh €60m deal for Victor Boniface.

Still, former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears keen on Casemiro, reportedly looking to add him to Beşiktaş’s ranks.

An Old Trafford exit would be understandable for Casemiro, who has fallen down the pecking order under current United boss Rubem Amorim.

Although Amorim has insisted that there is no bad blood between him and Casemiro, the midfielder is clearly not a key player in his starting 11.

Casemiro’s last United appearance came in the 2-0 loss to Newcastle United in late December, showing that he has since lost relevance under Amorim.

While an undoubtedly talented player, a move away from United may be what is necessary for Casemiro to revive his career as well as Amorim as he seeks to build a team for the future.
