Inter Milan are “crazy” about misfiring United attacker, already have a 4-year contract offer on the table – report

Inter Milan reportedly have a contract offer lined up for Manchester United’s out-of-sorts striker, Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dane has just come off the back of a season to forget, where he managed a paltry four goals in 32 Premier League matches.

Man United manager Ruben Amorim is desperate to upgrade his attack this summer and there have already been attempts to bring in Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.

The United boss is reported to have been taken aback by how poor Hojlund has been this season and is said to be willing to let the player leave this upcoming window.

Consequently, United have reduced his asking price with Inter Milan, Juventus and Fenerbahce all being credited with an interest in him.

Italian site Inter Live report that Inter’s interest in Hojlund is very real and they even have a contract prepared for him.

Despite the club being focused on the weekend’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, they are already making plans for the summer, ahead of the Club World Cup in June.

It is claimed that Inter are “crazy about” Hojlund and have been ever since he made his breakthrough with Atalanta.

The site reports that the Italians wanted to sign the forward two summers ago but they could not compete with the mammoth fee United paid, totalling almost €80 million.

Hojlund’s poor form in England has not led to a “fading” of Inter’s interest however and they believe that his “value is much higher” than is being shown at Old Trafford.

Inter are also attracted to the low figures a deal would cost as they plan to offer him a four-year contract, which would offer a salary of €3.5-4 million a year.

They plan to tempt United with a loan deal with an option to complete the purchase in the future. It is not stated how the Red Devils would feel about such an offer, however.

Crucially, head coach Simone Inzaghi is also fully behind the deal and feels Hojlund would be his side’s “ideal third striker”.

Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
