An insight into the concerns of some of the more high-profile stars at Manchester United has been provided on Monday.

Silva rounds out the scoring Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men of course marked their return to Premier League action over the weekend.

On the back of a crucial comeback point secured at Atalanta during the week, the Red Devils welcomed fierce rivals Man City to Old Trafford, eyeing a 2nd successive league victory.

When all was said and done on Saturday, however, such efforts fell flat, to say the very, very least.

The latest in a season of underwhelming performances to date ultimately saw United put to the sword by two goals to nil.

Eric Bailly’s own goal set the ball rolling for Pep Guardiola’s City inside ten minutes, before Bernardo Silva’s back post finish on the stroke of the interval ensured that the visitors emerged with all three points.

🗣 “A bizarre goal…”

Cancelo lifts what looks like a hopeful ball into the Man Utd penalty area and Maguire and Shaw switch off as Silva steals in at the far post to poke the ball home 👀

CR7 ‘shocked’ In turn, on the back of the curtain closing on another difficult day in a campaign which initially promised so much at Manchester United, it should come as little surprise to hear of concerns beginning to mount on the part of the club’s stars.

David de Gea, for one, took to social media late on Saturday, to make his feelings clear:

And now, as outlined above, an insight into the current mindset of two of the Spaniard’s teammates has been provided, too.

As per a report from Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, Bruno Fernandes is among a group of Red Devils players who have expressed concern with the recent efforts of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Portuguese feels as though he and his teammates are not being provided with a ‘clear plan’ by their boss, with the number of young coaches ‘learning on the job’ further cause for scrutiny.

Fellow countryman and United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, is understood to be ‘shocked’ by just how far standards at Old Trafford have fallen, since his initial departure in the summer of 2009.
