Incredible attacking talent is “dreaming” of United move, major transfer decision set to be made in next few hours – report

Victor Osimhen is reportedly keen on moving to Manchester United despite strong interest from Saudi Arabia.

It is still early in the summer, but several clubs are scrambling to get deals over the line before Tuesday’s deadline. The summer transfer window was opened on June 1 in order to allow teams to bring in new players ahead of the Club World Cup. It will reopen on 16 June.

Al-Hilal have been desperately trying to add marquee names to their ranks in recent days, having failed to lure the likes of Bruno Fernandes to Saudi.

Earlier this month, Napoli reached an agreement with Al-Hilal for the transfer of Osimhen, who scored 37 goals for Galatasaray this season. However, the race for his signature still appears to be wide open.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Al-Hilal are attempting to secure the Nigerian’s services imminently. However, the 26-year-old is yet to give his approval as he is understood to be “dreaming” of a move to United.

It is claimed the Riyadh outfit will make another attempt before the first phase of the summer window closes but Osimhen is unlikely to change his mind.

United are monitoring the situation and could accelerate their efforts to sign him in the next phase of the window.

Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis continues to demand €75 million for the Nigeria international.

Earlier today, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United could consider using Joshua Zirkzee to lower the Naples side’s demands.

Osimhen has the experience and skill sets to become a dream attacking addition for Amorim but United are seemingly not willing to meet Napoli’s asking price amid concerns over their transfer budget in the absence of European football.

Zirkzee showed promise as a wide playmaker in the second half of the season at United and he is still highly-rated in Italy.

A possible player plus cash proposal might satisfy everyone and help Osimhen get his dream move to the Theatre of Dreams.
