Rasmus Hojlund ‘is spoken to by Man United team-mates over him giving an interview to YouTube fan channel which is “negative and slaughters them”‘ – sparking awkward ‘jealousy’ row between fansRasmus Hojlund conducted an interview with a YouTube fan channel last month His Man United team-mates have reportedly questioned his decision to do so CHRIS SUTTON and IAN LADYMAN give their title predictions (finally!) – It’s All Kicking Off podcastBy James Cohen Published: 09:09 GMT, 11 March 2024 | Updated: 10:00 GMT, 11 March 2024 Rasmus Hojlund’s decision to conduct an interview with a Manchester United YouTube fan channel has reportedly been questioned by his team-mates. The Danish international has been in fine form in 2024, having scored seven goals from six appearances for the Red Devils before picking up an injury recently. During his prolific spell, Hojlund sat down for an interview with ‘The United Stand’ where he discussed everything from his goalscoring form to life in Manchester.  However, while some will have enjoyed an insight into the mind of United’s No. 11, reports claim that his team-mates have questioned the decision to do the interview. According to the United We Stand magazine, a couple of United players spoke to  Højlund regarding his choice to give an interview to a channel which ‘was built on negativity and slaughtering United players’. Rasmus Hojlund’s United team-mates have reportedly taken issue with an interview he gave to YouTube fan channel ‘The United Stand’ at the start of February Mark Goldbridge – who runs the United Stand – hit back at the reports and suggested that ‘jealousy’ has played a part in the rumours  A report from ‘United We Stand’ suggested that United team-mates questioned Hojlund’s decision to give an interview to the channel that is ‘built on negativity’ The United Stand has previously come under criticism from those associated with the club, with former Red Devil Paul Parker once claiming the channel is ‘causing ‘problems’ at United. However, Mark Goldbridge – who runs the United Stand – has since hit back and insisted that the criticisms stem from ‘jealousy’.Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Goldbridge wrote: ‘Jealousy always seems to burn brightest on a Sunday lol! So, that interview took months to put together. ‘Everyone in the club was aware, the player and others were doing media on a training day at Carrington, we were there all morning. If anyone wanted to stop it they could of’.Back in October, former United defender Parker said he believes Goldbridge has been ‘attacking the club, the manager and the owners of a football club that he doesn’t even love’ given he ‘is a Nottingham Forest fan’. Speaking about the situation regarding Goldbridge and United, Parker told BonusCodeBets: ‘I don’t like what Mark Goldbridge is doing. ‘It’s a problem. Everyone has to make a living but you have to be very, very thick skinned to make money off the back of something you don’t like. The Danish international has been in fine goalscoring form for the Red Devils in 2024 Hojlund has managed to find the back of the net seven times in his last six appearances’He has no relationship to Man United, he is a Nottingham Forest fan. It’s an incredible skill to do that, actually… To make money on the back of something you don’t like. ‘He is attacking the club, the manager and the owners of a football club that you don’t even love. He has no inner feeling with the club and it’s a scary but incredible feeling to have to be that invested in a club that you don’t support.’But that’s also what Man United are about. It’s a club with a massive story and it’s a story that everyone tries to tap into and be a part of. ‘A lot of people are making money because of Man United but it’s madness. One, they don’t support Man United and to be honest, two, they don’t even like football. In total, the former Atalanta striker has bagged 13 goals in 30 appearances for the club ‘But it’s a club that everyone wants to talk about and somehow it’s possible to make money from it despite not having a relationship to the club.’Hojlund has hit impressive form in the Premier League for Man United, scoring in six consecutive matches to help the Red Devils. It marked a significant upturn in form in front of goal, with the £72million summer signing having failed to net in the Premier League until the 3-2 Boxing Day win over Aston Villa.Hojlund had netted in other competitions, with the striker having now scored 13 goals in 30 appearances in his debut season at the club.
