He contributed four goals and six assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances. However, Bayern Munich also expressed an interest in Brown and stepped up their chase to land him ahead of United. United eventually opted against entering a bidding way for the 22-year-old, who is currently with the Germany national team at the World Cup. If anyone harboured any hopes of a late hijack from United, then they will be bitterly disappointed after the update that Romano has just issued.
