Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has urged Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane to snub interest from elsewhere in favour of a sensational switch to Old Trafford. The strongest interest United held in the England captain is believed to have been in the summer of 2023. However, United backed out of a deal in favour of signing Rasmus Hojlund. Kane has plundered 146 goals in 147 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, helping them to consecutive titles. Yet, there is growing speculation that he could be on his way out. It’s said that Barcelona have made enquiries about the possibility of signing him. The 32-year-old’s contract runs until the summer of 2027, and Barcelona have asked his intermediaries about his availability. However, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Kane is still more likely to extend his stay in Bavaria. But this has not deterred Rooney from calling for the talisman to join United.
