A Japanese submarine collided head-on with a merchant ship off the east coast of the country yesterday, which ended in heavy damage.
The submarine’s communications equipment was damaged in the collision, so its crew had to call from their mobile phones for help. Three of them were slightly injured.
The Japanese Minister of Defense said the Soryu submarine had been on a training trip at the time of the incident. became. The crew saw the merchant ship from the submarine’s binoculars, but did not respond in time.
Although the Japanese authorities do little of the collision, the damage seems to be quite large, but the submarine can neither dive nor have any communications.
