“He just makes the difference:” Owen Hargreaves praises super sub for enormous impact vs Athletic Club

Manchester United produced a scintillating performance to defeat Athletic Club 4-1 in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final showdown.

It was a fine attacking display from Man United, particularly in the second half, as they came from behind to seal their spot in the Europa League final with a resounding 7-1 win on average over their La Liga opponents.

Speaking to TNT Sports, United legend Owen Hargreaves picked out one player who he felt made an enormous impact on the final result.

“To be fair, I found Amad came on and had a huge impact on the game. He just makes the difference,” Hargreaves declared.

He then went on to praise Amad for assisting the struggling Rasmus Hojlund to score United’s third goal of the night.

“He doesn’t get a lot of service at times, Hojlund, and today I thought he got a tap in and he was there so credit to him,” he explained.

Looking ahead, the positive performance from Amad and his teammates has filled Hargreaves with hope ahead of the Europa League final on May 21, when United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in an all-English final.

“I think it’s gonna be fascinating,” Hargreaves exclaimed.

“If United in a down season can win a trophy, get to the Champions League, it just tells you what this club is all about.”

Then, Hargreaves put his reputation on the line by revealing what he thinks is going to transpire in the final.

“I think right now momentum is a little bit with Manchester United. Just with the energy around the club at the moment,” he concluded.

Furthermore, he and co-pundit Paul Scholes pointed out how United have experience at winning trophies, thereby giving them an edge over Spurs.

While there is still a couple of weeks to go before the all-important final, this decisive victory has given United as well as their fans plenty of confidence and a great feeling leading up to the big night.

After all, the fact that fans are feeling confident and are getting behind Ruben Amorim and the team could make all the difference.
