Manchester United have been told Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player who can shoulder responsibility at Old Trafford.
For the second time in 14 days, the Premier League giants were humbled by genuine contenders for the top-flight crown – Liverpool and Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
It’s a pair of results which have increased the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his position at the helm.
Despite restoring some parity between those alarming defeats, Solskjaer and his United players – minus Ronaldo – have come in for universal criticism from pundits and supporters.
That’s not only for their on-field displays, either, as former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara took aim at the likes of £80million captain Harry Maguire and David de Gea for their post-match actions.
Indeed, they were among several United players to address the Manchester derby on their social media accounts – such is the trend within the modern game.
Speaking to talkSPORT, O’Hara said: “I hate that players come out after the games and they do these tweets; ‘We will go again. We will keep fighting. Thanks for your support’.
“Just shut up! You’ve got beat, you’re not playing well. Get back on track and let your football do the talking.
“They are always worried about saying the wrong thing or upsetting the manager or someone else in the dressing room. You always have to be careful what you say.

“I feel like Manchester United players at the minute, the only player who can step up to the plate with pressure on his shoulders is [Cristiano] Ronaldo. He’s the only one that can do it.
“The rest of them, they are in a shell of themselves and what they really are. They’re not bad players. Harry Maguire was excellent in the Euros, but he looks like he’s playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
“You’ve got to let them go out on a football pitch and enjoy their football.”
