PEP GUARDIOLA believes Manchester City have never dominated a team like they did Manchester United on Saturday.
The 2-0 scoreline tells only part of the story with United having an embarrassing one touch in the opposition box in the second half.

City boss Guardiola said: “Maybe this was the game that we dominated for the most time. Except for 10 minutes of the second half, the other 80 minutes were absolutely under control.
“In some games we are good but not for as long as this.
“Maybe you are right, it is a game we controlled more specifically. We know each other better, we know the opponent better.”
Guardiola emphasised how their 67 per cent possession, away from home against their bitterest rivals made the difference.
He said: “We need the ball to play good and desire when we don’t have it, to recover it and play and play and play and play and play and play. It’s not that you attack quicker and you will score more goals, you have to arrive in the right tempo.”

He was clearly thrilled by City’s exemplary play as they left United chasing shadows with Phil Foden, Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Gabriel Jesus and Bernardo Silva all mesmerising their opponents.
Guardiola said: “I love us arriving to the boxes, not being in the boxes. The way we play a lot of passes we are still able for Phil to arrive and Gundogan and Kevin and Gaby and Bernardo. Arriving from behind is the best way to surprise the opponent and we did it.”
Guardiola seemed more enthused than any victory this season but denied that this would be the game of Phil Foden’s life as the young star claimed post match.
He said: “I said that Phil is too young, there’s more to come. That’s a message to Phil. He will live fortunately many more. For Phil it is special because he is a City fan.
“For the people who are City fans these type of games I know are important. Before it we have to prepare, be calm, not too much emotion.
It was really fun actually, quite enjoyable
“Prepare how the game must be played. But afterwards when you have success, or you play good and win the game you have to celebrate it with your City neighbours.”
And didn’t they just.
Ilkay Gundogan rubbed salt in United’s wounds by admitting that City were simply having fun at Old Trafford.
Gundogan said: “It was really fun actually, quite enjoyable.
“It was a great first half where we could have scored even more goals.
“It could have been three or four at half-time. Their ‘keeper made some incredible saves in the first half. It was great.”
