The Red Devils have been linked with the Benfica forward as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik ten Hag has now put him at the top of his shopping list for JanuaryVideo LoadingVideo UnavailableManchester United v Burnley in PicturesManchester United returned to winning ways in midweek and Erik ten Hag now has a clear plan ahead of the January transfer window. The Red Devils are in desperate need of a new striker and while Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix is a potential candidate, his Portuguese teammate Goncalo Ramos has now emerged as the ‘chosen’ player to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. Elsewhere, there has been a dramatic change in plans for recruiting a new right back, while a World Cup starter could now leave the club. Mirror Football takes a look at all the latest transfer stories coming out of Old Trafford… Ten Hag targets Ramos Benfica forward Ramos has been linked with a move to Man United in January but reports have now confirmed that Ten Hag has ‘chosen’ him as his priority target next month. The 21-year-old stole the headlines in Portugal’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland at the World CUp after netting a hattrick in place of former Red Devil Ronaldo, and is now considered as hot property ahead of the January transfer window. And according to Italian website Calcio Mercato, Man United boss Ten Hag has ‘chosen’ Ramos as his number one centre-forward for the future, although Benfica will not sell him in January unless his €120million (£105million) release clause is activated. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. Wan-Bissaka has United future After failing to impress Ten Hag since his arrival in the summer, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is fully expected to leave in the January transfer window as the Dutchman aims to bolster his right back options. However, the former Crystal Palace defender, who is wanted by the Eagles, Wolves and West Ham, grabbed his first start of the season in Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Burnley in the Carabao Cup and grabbed an assist as well as a clean sheet. And according to talkSPORT, Wan-Bissaka will now only leave Old Trafford next month if United identify a replacement beforehand, meaning that his future could still remain in the north west until at least the end of the season. World Cup star could leave in January Man United forward and Uruguay international Facundo Pellistri could end his Old Trafford nightmare with an exit from the club in the January transfer window. The youngster, who was signed for €8.5 million in 2020 whilst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge, has failed to come off the bench in 14 games so far this season – which included Wednesday night’s victory over Burnley – despite starting two of three World Cup games for Uruguay this winter. As a result of his latest snub by Ten Hag, the Express claim that Pellistri’s agent will now move forward with finding him a permanent route out of the club, following previous reports that he would prefer to leave altogether rather than securing another loan move elsewhere.
