Rumours have been gathering pace about Chelsea being unhappy with the performances of Jadon Sancho, currently on loan at Stamford Bridge from Manchester United.
The England international started brightly at London before fading away and critics have blasted the 24-year-old for his attitude on the pitch and lazy displays.
He has been in and out of Enzo Maresca’s team all season and has managed a meagre two goals in 28 appearances across all competitions. In fact, his form has dipped so significantly since December that the winger has no goals and only one assist in his last 14 games.
The Blues are obligated to buy the attacker for £25 million should they finish above 14th. Chelsea are currently fourth and are comfortably on course to finish in the European places.
Chelsea will not send Sancho back to United
However, as relayed by The Peoples Person, Chelsea so disappointed with the former Manchester City academy starlet that they are mulling over cancelling the agreement with the Red Devils.
The 20-time English league champions will have little use for a player with a rotten attitude who has burned all his bridges with his parent club.
From failing to show any sort of professionalism during Erik ten Hag’s tenure to his social media activity including his recent post on Marcus Rashford’s timeline, the former Borussia Dortmund star is not at all the ideal fit for Amorim’s style.
Cancelling the obligation would mean having to pay a substantial fine, something that has proven to be enough for Chelsea to reconsider their stance.
And now journalist Simon Phillips has revealed on his substack that the London side have been sounding out potential suitors for the Englishman.
They will sell him instead
They are ready to cut their losses immediately and Sancho could be sold next summer with Germany seen as a potential landing spot.
He has done well in both spells at Dortmund and a return to Signal Iduna Park cannot be ruled out. But the Blues are unlikely to earn a huge fee for a player who does not look capable of performing in the English top flight.
For a player who had the world at his feet, Sancho’s career has taken a dramatic nosedive with the winger showing no signs of improving his lifestyle.
After United, now even Chelsea are ready to accept defeat and the future does not bode well for the Englishman. How he recovers from this latest blow remains to be seen.
