Chido Obi-Martin has passed his Man United medical, with the club now just waiting for Premier League approval.
Manchester United Football Club have made two first-team signings so far this summer, with Erik ten Hag slowly building a squad into one that fits his image and style.
With money tight, attention has now seemingly turned to younger options. After all, the Old Trafford side have enjoyed great success when they’ve given youth a chance to thrive at the highest level.
Chido Obi-Martin is viewed as one of the best players of his generation. When it was announced he’d be leaving Arsenal, United were all over it and they did win the race to sign the Dane.
Now, AcademyScoop have provided an update on that front, claiming that the forward has undergone a successful United medical ahead of finalising a deal to the Theatre of Dreams.
A full agreement is now in place, though United and Obi-Martin are just waiting on official ratification from the Premier League. This process could take days or weeks.

Obi-Martin’s motive behind the move is the fact that there is a clear pathway into the United first-team.
The Dane is looking to chase down his compatriot Rasmus Hojlund for starts over the next few years, though that is a process that United cannot rush.
Obi-Martin will be working hard, presumably with the U18s at first, before slowly being introduced to U21 level football.
I genuinely believe we could see this young man push Ethan Wheatley hard over the next six months and potentially overtaking the Englishman before the season is out.
