Former United star’s current club provide official major update on player’s health status

Former Manchester United star Christian Eriksen’s playing career is once again up in the air. History The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder collapsed on the pitch during a Euro 2020 game for Denmark after suffering a heart attack. Fortunately, he made a full recovery after receiving treatment, and he was fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), which is a type of pacemaker. The star made a return to football in 2022, less than a year after the scare, playing for Brentford. He then moved to Manchester United in July 2022 and spent three seasons at the club before joining Wolfsburg in Germany last year. Unfortunately, Eriksen had another incident during last month’s Denmark friendly against Ukraine. The BBC reported that, “he collapsed during a match against Ukraine in Odense in June, with the game being stopped on 65 minutes and abandoned shortly after. The 34-year-old midfielder was able to walk from the field.” Future Naturally, there were doubts about whether the 34-year-old would continue to play after his latest health scare, but it seems he is as determined as ever. His club released an official statement on their website regarding their plan for Eriksen. They stated, “Christian Eriksen will soon begin an individual rehabilitation program. Following a discussion with VfL Wolfsburg managing director Dieter Hecking, it was decided that the 34-year-old will complete this in his native Denmark.” The statement continued, “VfL is in regular contact with Christian and his doctors. We wish Christian all the best for his continued rehabilitation.” Die Wölfe begin their season on 8 August against FC Kaiserslautern, and it is yet to be seen whether Eriksen will play any part in the match.
