Manchester United have been known for producing some of the biggest talents in world football for years now. While some of them have managed to fulfil their potential and went on to have brilliant careers, unfortunately, some have not.
Ravel Morrison is one such player. During his time in the club’s academy, he was regarded as one of the biggest talents that they had ever had there.
Many believed that he would go on to become the next big star that the Red Devils’ academy produced but it was not to be. Since then he has represented a number of clubs but has never managed to find his feet anywhere.
Still just 28 years of age, he might have a lot of football left in the tank, but it does feel like he will not become the superstar that many had predicted him to be one day. His latest stint will be at Wayne Rooney’s Derby County. As reported by the Daily Mail, he has signed a one-year contract with the Championship side.
The former Manchester United player has signed with Rooney’s Derby CountyThe ability has never been in question when it comes to Morrison. But he has never quite managed to put it altogether on the pitch at the senior level.
He did have stints at West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers, where he showed glimpses of his quality.
Hopefully, he can turn things around at Derby County and finally get it going. Although it has been almost a decade since Morrison left Old Trafford, fans still remember him for the potential that he had shown during his incredible rise through the youth ranks which saw him make his senior debut for Manchester United at 17 years of age.
Derby County finished 21st in the Championship last season and will be looking to have a better campaign this time around.
