Fabrizio Romano Issues Fresh Update On Man United’s Move For Bundesliga Talent Who Has Been Compared To Rodri

BACK David Tully Oct 28th 2025 Manchester United are not in contention to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Reports in the German media over the past few weeks have claimed that intermediaries of the Red Devils and rivals Manchester City have been in contact with the player’s entourage. However, speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano has played down the prospect of Pavlovic moving to Old Trafford anytime soon: “For Pavlovic, guys, I can guarantee to you that there is nothing, absolutely nothing ongoing. Pavlovic is a crucial player for Bayern; he’s more than happy at Bayern.” “Bayern – and when I say Bayern, it’s the board of directors, but also the most important people at Bayern like Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Uli Hoeness and all the others – they all see Pavlovic as one of the crucial faces of the project for present and future.” “So there is nothing between Pavlovic and Manchester United. I don’t know where this news is coming from, but Bayern will NOT sell Pavlovic. So forget about it.” What do fans need to know about Pavlovic? The 21-year-old came through Bayern’s youth academy, and he has already made 65 appearances for the first team, as well as receiving seven caps for Germany at senior level. Pavlovic is a holding midfield player by trade, and some have already likened him to Ballon d’Or winner Rodri. It remains to be seen whether he can fulfil his potential, but it does look like he will be staying in Germany for now.
