Dani Olmo’s Stance On 47M Manchester United Transfer Is Revealed

RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo has not ruled out a transfer to Manchester United but he does have reservations about a switch to Old Trafford, according to El Nacional.

The Catalan website claims that the Spanish international would prefer a move back to Barcelona, but the La Liga club won’t be able to afford his €55m (£47m) asking price.

While Barca are likely to make an approach for Olmo, a deal would hinge on Leipzig lowering their demands, which seems pretty unlikely considering his importance to the German side.

El Nacional report that United do hold a “serious interest” but, in contrast to their rivals, they won’t have an issue with meeting Leipzig’s valuation.

Persuading the player, though, is more of an issue. Olmo is not dead set against moving to England but he is concerned that he wouldn’t get enough game time with the Red Devils.

For Leipzig this season, the 23-year-old has mostly been employed as a number 10; a position that United are already well catered for with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek in their squad.
