Following the outcome of today’s Emirates FA Cup third-round matches, the new date for Manchester United’s postponed Premier League match against Crystal Palace can be confirmed.
The fixture at Selhurst Park, initially postponed as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen in September, will now take place on Wednesday 18 January.
Kick-off in the capital will be at 20:00 GMT.
In a statement to announce the new date, the Premier League said it “apologises to fans for the late notice in confirming this fixture and understands supporters’ frustrations.
“While the League endeavours to give as much notice as possible for rescheduling, the unique circumstances around this fixture meant this was not possible.”
United’s Premier League game against Leeds United at Old Trafford, also postponed in September, is still to be rearranged for a later date.
