Confirmed United XI vs West Ham: Leny Yoro dropped, De Ligt absent, Matheus Cunha returns

Rumours that Bruno Fernandes would miss Manchester United’s match against West Ham tonight proved to be unfounded, with the skipper taking his place in the starting XI once again. Matheus Cunha is also back in action after missing the last two games. Defence Senne Lammens is in goal. Leny Yoro loses his place in the back three and is replaced by Noussair Mazraoui. Matthijs de Ligt is absent and is probably one of the two injuries Amorim mentioned in his presser. Ayden Heaven comes in and Luke Shaw continues in the left centre-back role. Harry Maguire is still injured. The absence of both De Ligt and Maguire makes Yoro’s omission quite a pointed one by Ruben Amorim, who was not happy that the Frenchman conceded a penalty against Crystal Palace last time out. Amad and Diogo Dalot are once again the wing-backs. Midfield and Attack Fernandes once again partners Casemiro in central midfield. Bryan Mbeumo starts again in the right forward position and Joshua Zirkzee keeps his place in the number nine role. Cunha replaces Mason Mount on the left side of attack. Ben Sesko has not recovered from injury. Substitutes Youngster Shea Lacey is once again on the bench and will be hoping to finally make his debut. The other subs are: Altay Bayindir, Patrick Dorgu, Tyrell Malacia, Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Mount and Manuel Ugarte. The match kicks off at 8pm in the pouring rain at Old Trafford.
