Confirmed United XI vs Newcastle: Zirkzee and Hojlund both start, Rashford back in squad

Marcus Rashford is back in the Manchester United matchday squad for tonight’s Premier League match against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Rashford has been omitted from four consecutive squads after giving an interview in which he said he is ready for a new challenge.

The England man is on the bench tonight.

In the starting XI, Andre Onana is in goal.

The back three are Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez.

Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are the wingbacks.

Experienced pair Casemiro and Christian Eriksen form the midfield pivot.

Up front, Amad and Joshua Zirkzee will support Rasmus Hojlund.

This means there is still no place for Alejandro Garnacho in the starting XI.

Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte are suspended while Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Mason Mount are injured.

Joining Rashford and Garnacho on the bench are Altay Bayindir, Leny Yoro, Godwill Kukonki, Tyrell Malacia, Toby Collyer, Kobbie Mainoo and Antony.

This means there is no place for Jonny Evans, suggesting he is either ill or injured.

Kick off at Old Trafford is at 8pm.
