Confirmed United XI vs Burnley: Fernandes back in 4-2-3-1 with Mainoo on the bench

Darren Fletcher has picked his first Manchester United side for tonight’s tricky Premier League tie with Burnley at Turf Moor. The caretaker boss has the good fortune to welcome back Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo to the squad. Fletcher has reverted to a back four. Defence Senne Lammens is in goal. The back four is made up of Diogo Dalot at right-back, Luke Shaw at left-back and Ayden Heaven and Lisandro Martinez the centre-backs. Maguire is on the bench, while Noussair Mazraoui is still at AFCON and Matthijs de Ligt is still injured. Midfield and Attack Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte are once again the twin pivot. Bruno Fernandes returns to the number 10 role, flanked by Patrick Dorgu on the right wing and Matheus Cunha on the left. Ben Sesko is up top. Amad and Bryan Mbeumo are still at AFCON. Substitutes Joining Maguire on the bench are Altay Bayindir, Tyrell Malacia, Leny Yoro, Jack Fletcher, Shea Lacey, Josh Zirkzee, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount. Kick off is at 8.15pm.
