Confirmed United XI vs Bodo/Glimt: Antony and Malacia WBs, Bruno holding midfield, Mount and Hojlund start

Ruben Amorim has kept his promise to field a much-rotated starting XI for tonight’s Europa League clash with Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford.

Tyrell Malacia plays his first game in 550 days, starting in the left wing back position.

The boss has selected winger Antony in the right wing back role.

Bruno Fernandes captains the side and appears to be starting in central midfield alongside Manuel Ugarte.

Rasmus Hojlund is up front.

He will be supported in attack by Alejandro Garnacho and Mason Mount.

Lisandro Martinez returns in defence alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are back in training but not ready for competitive action, while Victor Lindelof is still injured. Many expected Luke Shaw to start but he is on the bench.

Andre Onana is in goal.

On the subs bench alongside Shaw are Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Amad, Josh Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford.

Given what Amorim has said about rotation, many of those subs could expect to return to the starting XI against Everton at the weekend.

Kick off tonight at Old Trafford is at 8pm.
