Confirmed MUFC XI vs Wolves – Onana back in, Mainoo starts & Rashford plays

Our confirmed MUFC XI vs Wolves is now in.

Manchester United return to Premier League action this evening, against a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who we always struggle against, particularly at their place.

No doubt their fans will be making huge amounts of noise as they look to upset the applecart once again. With that in mind, Erik ten Hag has to name his strongest possible side, in hope of coming out victorious. It’d be a huge win, particularly while the pressure is on.

The United boss needs a victory here. Fans have no faith in the performances at present, while the weekend’s game against Newport County didn’t offer any respite. Three points here, though, could change things.

Anyway, the team news is now in, so let’s give you the full rundown.

Andre Onana does return to start in between the sticks, after Altay did a decent job at deputising on Sunday. The man from Cameroon will be looking to hit the ground running.

Diogo Dalot is favoured at right-back ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Luke Shaw now starting with regularity in the left-back position. Raphael Varane plays alongside Lisandro Martinez. This is arguably our best back four.

Casemiro continues to build up his fitness levels after his own injury problems, with Kobbie Mainoo starting as per usual these days. Bruno Fernandes starts and captain’s the side.

Rasmus Hojlund has found some form of late and it’s great to see the Dane performing well despite an alarming lack of service. To his right and left respectively is Alejandro Garnacho and the returning Marcus Rashford.

Come on lads!
