Where will Alejandro Garnacho end up? It is a question that almost every Manchester United fan is struggling to answer.
Garnacho’s case is unique. He is not like Marcus Rashford, whose Camp Nou ambitions are well known (he only wants to leave United for Barcelona).
Where next for Garnacho?
TBR reports that a move to long-time admirer Napoli is now unlikely, with the Serie A side closing in on alternatives: Dan Ndoye and Noa Lang. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur, another top suitor, are also out of the picture.
Spurs have signed Mohammed Kudus and are working to resolve the Morgan Gibbs-White saga; their interest in Garnacho has faded.
That said, according to the UK outlet, Garnacho could ultimately end up at Chelsea or Aston Villa, the latter of whom remain loosely linked.
Villa would need to offload Leon Bailey before seriously considering a move.
Chelsea remains serious about Garnacho
However, according to the report, the Blues have maintained interest since first registering it last winter.
They have recently been in contact with Garnacho’s entourage and continue to closely monitor his situation.
Despite already spending heavily to reinforce their attack, most notably with the signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Chelsea’s appetite for another winger option remains strong.
“Chelsea retain an active interest in Garnacho and have had recent contact with his people, who are keeping the club informed,” TBR reveals.
“Despite deals for Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro already this summer, and the arrival of Estevao, Chelsea remain keen to sign Garnacho.”
United are said to be demanding around £40 million for Garnacho, who fell out with manager Ruben Amorim after his antics after the Europa League final.
Whether Chelsea are willing to meet that valuation remains to be seen.

Either way, could Garnacho thrive at Stamford Bridge?
With Noni Madueke, Joao Felix and United-linked Christopher Nkunku all expected to be sold. With that, plus the void left by Jadon Sancho and Mykhailo Mudryk, he may well fancy his chances of reinventing himself under Enzo Maresca.
