CHELSEA legend John Terry wasted no time in dishing out a savage put-down to Manchester United fans after he joined Twitter on Saturday.
The Blues icon received plenty of stick from rival fans after signing up to the social media site, but was happy to have a bit of banter in return.
Chelsea legend John Terry has joined Twitter and wasted no time in dishing out some stick to Man Utd fans The pick of the bunch was a reply to a Man Utd fan who posted a picture of Terry crying after he missed a penalty against the Reds in the 2008 Champions League final shoot-out in Moscow.
MUFCFanZone shared the photo and wrote: “Welcome to the wonderful world of Twitter! #ThatNightInMoscow.”
And having seen United lose 2-0 at home to bitter rivals City on Saturday, Terry quipped back: “That’s the Man Utd fans after today and realising you’re five years away from catching Chelsea.”
Terry was also welcomed to Twitter by England cricket sensation Kevin Pietersen who shared a photo of the 40-year-old holding the Champions League trophy aloft.
And he wrote: “A warm welcome to a captain who would have laughed his head off at how poor Man Utd are!

CELEBRITY FOLLOWS Terry had reached more than 50,000 followers by Sunday morning and is following many of his old team-mates including Michael Ballack, Diego Costa, Mo Salah and John Obi Mikel.
Tyson Fury, Sergio Ramos, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas also make the list.
And amid the banter, Terry made time to wish some fans happy birthday and graciously accepted welcomes from other accounts.
He also had to deal with a few Twitter grammar trolls correcting him on his ‘your’ and ‘you’re’ spelling.
But the former England international took it all in good heart.
And he even uploaded a video of himself on Sunday morning to confirm it definitely was him running the account.
