Chelsea stutter to halftime In a half that was temporarily suspended as a result of a medical emergency by a member of the crowd, Chelsea struggled.

The Blues were lucky not to be 2-0 down ahead of the suspension, and consistently turned the ball over, handing Watford the initiative. Some even dubbed it the worst half under Tuchel.

Too many awful performances we can’t sub them all unfortunately. Worst 45 under Tuchel.

Although they took the lead courtesy of Mason Mount, they were quickly pegged back by the Hornets, with Emmanuel Dennis levelling the scoring.

Honestly Watford deserve to be winning here let alone drawing. We have been absolutely shambolic. So many piss poor performances this half. Litter.

And it was Watford that ended the half in the ascendency, sparking the need for change.

“Miss you, King”: Fans clamour for Jorginho Now, amid the chaos, it was the central midfield position that fans saw the biggest need for an upgrade. Saul and Ruben Loftus-Cheek suffered, and there was one man on everyone’s lips. Jorginho.

people call jorginho useless then wonder why we have no control in these games

— L (@lewpacked) December 1, 2021

Jorginho is the glue to this team, we literally can’t build up without him, Saul looks completely lost out there, I’m getting Bakayoko vibes, chasing round like crazy but with no purpose, he’s going to get sent off if he keeps playing this way.

— Pys (@CFCPys) December 1, 2021

Tonight just goes to show you how important Jorginho is to Chelsea.

— Conn (@ConnCFC) December 1, 2021

This performance tonight vs Watford is the best example ur ever gonna get to display exactly why Jorginho HAS to play. #CFC

All I hear about is Jorginho being overrated but they look like this the second he’s out of the lineup. Please never play Saul again

— Dan Flashes (@CamHatcher) December 1, 2021

Now do you see why Jorginho deserved to be top 3 in the Ballon d’Or?
