Here is our Champions League team of the week for matchday two.
GK: Marc-Andre Ter Stegen – Barcelona
Barcelona should be extremely grateful to their goalkeeper as Marc-Andre Ter Stegen made big save after big save to ensure they held onto all three points on Wednesday. Porto will be wondering how they came away from that game with nothing.
RB: Jordan Teze – PSV Eindhoven
In a swashbuckling display of attacking intent, Jordan Teze created four chances for PSV and had more touches in the opposition box than his own, as he repeatedly went forward against Sevilla. His persistence paid off in the end when he scored an equaliser in the 95th minute of the game.

CB: Jules Kounde – Barcelona
Barcelona defender Jules Kounde is two for two in our Champions League teams of the week, having played a key role in the side’s clean sheet against Porto. The Frenchman made a simply sensational last-ditch tackle to deny the hosts an equaliser at the Estadio do Dragao.

CB: Alessandro Bastoni – Internazionale
The Italian centre-back did a brilliant job of snuffing out danger in the box against Benfica, but he also managed to create at the other end for Inter Milan.
LB: Dan Burn – Newcastle Utd
You wouldn’t have guessed that Dan Burn was up against some of the best attacking talent in European football on Wednesday night, so assured did he and his teammates look against PSG. The Blythe native scored his first Champions League goal to put the cherry on top of a perfect night for the Newcastle defender

Galatasaray midfielder Kaan Ayhan terrorised Manchester United in midweek, winning nine of his 11 duels. He also won all three of his aerials, made four interceptions, four clearances and 10 ball recoveries.
CAM: Jude Bellingham – Real Madrid
The Birmingham native played a leading role in Real Madrid’s important 3-2 win over Napoli, scoring a phenomenal solo goal in the process at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

RF: Alvaro Morata – Atletico Madrid
The Spanish striker grabbed a brace against Feyenoord on Wednesday evening as Atletico Madrid came from behind twice to snatch all three points at home. Alvaro Morata has been in superb form this season, having scored five goals in six league games.
CF: Rasmus Hojlund – Man Utd
Rasmus Hojlund looked every bit the number nine that Man United have been crying out for for years as the Dane found the net twice on Tuesday against Galatasaray. He timed his run perfectly to head home the first before racing clear and poking home for the second.
“Maybe there’s a new Scandinavian in Manchester who’s going to make headlines!” 📰👀

Portuguese winger Bruma scored one of the sweetest strikes you’re ever likely to see to bring Braga on level terms against Union Berlin. The 28-year-old also teed up Andre Castro for a dramatic last minute winner.
