Manchester United have seen three young players dominate this season, becoming vital for the team and now Casemiro has praised one.

One of Manchester United‘s most experienced players and leaders on the pitch is Casemiro and now he’s been praising his young teammate.

In midfield, Casemiro has been playing alongside the supremely talented Kobbie Mainoo over the last two months.

The pair have their issues with Casemiro struggling physically and on the ball which has seen United exposed in every game.

But now the Brazilian has explained his thoughts on his teenage midfield partner. Here’s what he has said…

Casemiro praises Kobbie Mainoo

Speaking with the club’s official monthly magazine, Inside United, Casemiro raved about his midfield partner, 18-year-old Mainoo.

“For those of us who work with him, it’s been no surprise to see him scoring and playing really well in games,” said the Brazilian.

“I think we have a complete player in Kobbie – aggressive, looks after the ball, a player who wants the ball.”

The Brazilian then continued to explain that Mainoo has a “good head he has on his shoulders”, which will serve him well for a long and successful career dominating the midfield at Old Trafford.

“I would say that if Kobbie continues the way he’s going with this mentality, continues training hard and doing things right, Manchester United have a great player for the next 15 years.”

Casemiro’s right, but Manchester United need to replace him

While Casemiro’s verdict on how good Mainoo could be is spot on, he likely is coming to the end of his time next to the English midfielder.

This summer United have got to get their midfield acquisitions right in order to perfectly partner Mainoo.

If the signing is the right one, Ineos could set the entire midfield up for 10 years, for example, the arrival of Joao Neves would be perfect to partner Mainoo or possibly Amadou Onana.

Casemiro could find himself leaving this summer, especially if interest arrives from Saudi Arabia.
