He eventually left to join Hull City for the second half of the campaign. The midfielder managed one cameo appearance before suffering a hamstring injury that is likely to sideline him for close to a month. Sekou Kone is another in the same boat. He joined INEOS-owned FC Lausanne Sport with the possibility of playing in the UEFA Conference League helping the Swiss side win the race for his signature. He was excluded from the Conference League squad, much to United’s dismay. A few loans have not worked out Now, Harry Amass is another wonderkid whose second loan spell has turned into a nightmare. A regular for Sheffield Wednesday, the Owls tried hard to persuade the left-back and United to keep him with them for the full season. However, a switch to Norwich City was arranged, where he played 15 minutes before picking up a serious injury. Now, according to Centredevils, the 18-year-old has returned to United to continue his rehabilitation at Carrington. He is unlikely to return to Carrow Road and is likely to spend the rest of the season with United’s U21 side. But former head coach Ruben Amorim felt the Englishman was better served leaving to continue his development in the Championship and even went on to criticise him in public. With Harry Amass back at Carrington, he will be looking to regain fitness as quickly as possible, while catching Michael Carrick’s eye before the season concludes.
