Bitter disappointment for United Women as West Ham confirm signing of highly-rated starlet – official

West Ham have confirmed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Sienna Wareing from Manchester United. Wareing joins West Ham Wareing spent seven years at United, having joined the club after a successful trial. Her football journey started at Mill Hill Juniors before a spell with Blackburn Rovers. She enjoyed a superb 2025/26 season with United. Wareing was named the club’s Academy U21 Player of the Year. The England youth international played a key role for the Red Devils as they lifted the Professional Game Academy Plate. She scored the winning goal against Durham in the final and earned the Player of the Match award. During the second half of last season, Wareing made six appearances for Liverpool Feds via a dual registration arrangement. Her form also earned her a maiden call-up to the Young Lionesses, and she went on to feature three times for England U19s in their 2026 UEFA Women’s U19 European Championship qualifiers.
