‘Better than any Ronaldo free-kick’ – Manchester United fans react to Andreas Pereira goal – Manchester Evening News

Manchester United fans have reacted after witnessing Andreas Pereira score one of the goals of the season last night.

The Brazilian midfielder is currently out on loan back in his Brazil – his international country, although born in Belgium – while on a season-long deal with Flamengo.

And in their league fixture against Juventude on Wednesday evening, Pereira would fire home a free-kick from 30 yards out, to remind United fans of his talent.

Pereira has spent the last few years away from United on loan, enjoying impressive spells at Granada, Valencia and Lazio.

He joined the Brazilian club this summer, who also have an option to buy the 25-year-old who has failed to establish himself in United’s first team.

After his goal had been posted throughout social media last night, hundreds of United fans have given their reaction.

One said: “That is better than any Cristiano Ronaldo free-kick. Unreal.”

Jonathan Taylor said: “Flamengo fans more and more falling in love with Andreas Pereira. Here’s why…”

Linus MUFC added: “Andreas Pereira doesn’t score any ordinary goals.”

Even a few Liverpool fans had shared their thoughts, with one saying: “That Andreas Pereira goal is the best free-kick I have seen in a long time.”

Pereira has enjoyed a fine start to life in Brazil. After joining Flamengo alongside former Chelsea stars David Luiz and Filipe Luis, along with current Chelsea loanee Kenedy, the Rio de Janiero side sit second in the league.

Flamengo have a £16.9m option to buy Pereira at the end of his loan spell.
