Arsenal told to hijack Manchester United and Spurs’ bargain deal for dream Thomas Partey partner – Football.London

Arsenal are set to be busy in the January transfer window as the club are set for a wave of outgoings and potentially some new incomings.

Despite the signing of central midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht in the summer, the Gunners are still short for numbers in the middle of the park.

Franck Kessie has emerged as a target for the club as his contract at AC Milan is set expire and he would be the perfect partner for Thomas Partey in midfield.

But completing the transfer will not be easy, as Manchester United and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the midfielder.

The Mirror have claimed that Arsenal, along with Manchester United, are interested in securing the Ivorian’s services given he could be available for a cut-price in the January transfer window.

The Ivorian international would the perfect midfielder next to Thomas Partey and they would create a pivot that rival Premier League fans would certainly fear.

He has less than eight months remaining on his deal at San Siro and appears unlikely to extend his stay with the Serie A giants.

At just 24-yers-old, Kessie already has tons of experience having played 182 games in the Serie A and scoring 37 goals which is very impressive for a midfielder.

He also has European experience under his belt having played in both the Champions League and Europa League for AC Milan.

Arsenal would certainly miss out on a bargain if Kessie wasn’t to join the club and it would make matters worse if he was to join Manchester United, as he would significantly improve their midfield, which they are in desperate need of.

But with Arteta’s side flying at the moment, the red side of north London seems to be the more attractive destination, as the Arsenal currently sit higher in the league than Manchester United and Spurs.
