Amorim “furious” with United as INEOS get cold feet regarding January transfer plans – report

What Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim requires more than anything in January is a quality midfielder to bolster his ranks. Casemiro has played the full 90 minutes only once this season, while Manuel Ugarte’s form has fallen off a cliff. So much so that the Red Devils have lost every game he has started in. On top of this, Kobbie Mainoo is not seen as a defensive midfielder, which means the 20-time English league champions are short on quality in that position. Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton, and Elliot Anderson are among the club’s top targets heading into the winter window. However, none of them will come cheap. Amorim will be furious And given INEOS’ summer splurge, a high-value addition seems unlikely at the start of the new year. That has not pleased Amorim.
