Word stemming from the Portuguese media on Thursday afternoon suggests that Cristiano Ronaldo is inching ever closer to a move to Premier League giants Manchester City.
CR7 wants out Speculation surrounding the future of legendary attacker Ronaldo has of course come back to the fore in a major way over recent days.
This comes after the 36-year-old was benched for Juventus’ season opener versus Udinese at the weekend.
This move, according to widespread reports, came at the request of CR7 himself, with the Portuguese international having set his sights firmly on a transfer away from Turin ahead of the window slamming shut next week:

A select few clubs, in turn, have been tipped as potential landing spots for Ronaldo.
Paris Saint-Germain have inevitably been one, amid suggestions that a dream Messi-Ronaldo pairing could come to fruition in the French capital, if Kylian Mbappe opts to link up with Real Madrid.

Etihad bound? The last 48 hours, however, have seen another outfit emerge as the clear front-runners when it comes to a potential deal for Juventus’ star man.
The club in question? Manchester City.
On the back of Harry Kane’s announcement that he will in fact not be departing Tottenham over the coming days, murmurs have mounted that Pep Guardiola and co. have turned their attentions towards Ronaldo.
And, as outlined above, on Thursday, major developments have been forthcoming in the CR7-City saga.
First, it was reported that an agreement on the personal terms of a contract has been struck between club and player.
And swiftly following such suggestions was the following social media post on the part of Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes, pointing towards the transfer being a ‘done deal’:
