Updates on Arsenal’s potential plans for their forward line has emerged online recently.
Arsenal interested in Alexander IsakThe first of which has credited Arsenal with an interest in Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak.
Isak joined Sociedad in July of 2019 for less than £6m and went on to score 16 and assist three in 45 outings during his first campaign in Spain.
2020/21 then saw the Swedish international reach new heights, netting 17 and assisting two in 34 La Liga outings for Real.
Now, on the back of an impressive start to life in Spain, Arsenal look to be showing an interest in Isak.
According to The Athletic:
In the longer term, Sweden forward Alexander Isak is a player of interest.
It is, however, added that the situation is complicated by the fact that Borussia Dortmund retain a €30m buyback clause on a player, though reports suggest Real hope to pay a fee to get that clause scrapped.
Arsenal offer Nketiah contractThe Athletic have also reported that Arsenal have offered a new contract to Eddie Nketiah.
The 21-year-old did not play a particularly big role for Arsenal last season, failing to complete 90 minutes in the league once.
However, with Nketiah having just one year left on his contract, it appears the north Londoners are keen to ensure they do not lose the striker for free.
Nketiah actually signing the deal, however, seems unlikely. As The Athletic report:
Nketiah, however, is unlikely to sign a contract extension with a club where his future remains unclear.
