Cristiano Ronaldo could reportedly be reuniting with his former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos in Saudi Arabia as Al-Nassr are said to have expressed an interest in the Paris Saint-Germain player. Ramos and Ronaldo made more than 330 appearances alongside each other for the Spanish club over the best part of a decade spent playing together, but have both since left the club. The Portugal international left to join Juventus in 2018 and moved on to Manchester United three years later before leaving Old Trafford by mutual consent in November to precipitate making the move to the Kingdom. Ramos swapped the Spanish capital for the French one in 2021, signing a two-year contract as a free agent with PSG, which expires this coming summer. Just days after retiring from international football as Spain’s most-capped men’s player of all time after representing his country 180 times, rumours about his club career are emerging. READ MORE: Former United player ‘open’ to joining Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia Spanish sports newspaper MARCA reports that figures at Al-Nassr ‘have already contacted the defender’s entourage to express their interest’ in once again pairing the player with Ronaldo. The Madrid-based publication also claims that the club ‘plans’ to recruit both Ramos and fellow former teammate Luka Modric. The midfielder, though, is said to have ‘made it clear’ that, for now, he wants to stay at Real Madrid for another season. The report adds that ‘there is still no answer’ from Ramos in response to the interest, but he is said to be ‘comfortable’ in Paris. Several players are said to be considering swapping their current clubs to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldo this summer. Former United winger Wilfried Zaha is reportedly one of them, as the player has mere months remaining on his Crystal Palace contract after rejecting several extension offers and is ‘open to the idea’ of playing in Saudi Arabia.
