Agreement in principle reached for “special” star to leave United, four-year contract worth €14m offered – report

Benjamin Sesko enjoyed his most promising outing in a Manchester United shirt following Ruben Amorim’s departure.  Sesko led Darren Fletcher’s attack against Burnley on Wednesday, scoring two well-taken goals. Meanwhile, Joshua Zirkzee once again started on the bench. The Slovenian, who arrived from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €85 million, is likely to remain United’s first-choice striker this season irrespective of who is in charge. Roma working on signing Joshua Zirkzee Accordingly, AS Roma continue to push ahead in their pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee. As per Tuttomercatoweb, Roma have reached an “agreement in principle” with United to sign Zirkzee on loan with a conditional obligation to buy him for €38m. The Serie A giants will have to make the deal permanent in the summer if the qualify for the Champions League. Meanwhile, the Giallorossi have put a four-year contract on the table, valid until June 2030, to convince Zirkzee to choose their project under Gian Piero Gasperini. The “special” 24-year-old is expected to earn €3.5m per season in Rome. All eyes on AFCON Roma have done “everything” to win the transfer battle for ex-Bologna talent’s signature, and negotiations are thought to be ongoing with the striker’s camp to iron out the final details.  It is suggested that the timing of the deal hinges on the Africa Cup of Nations, as the early return of Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo would speed up the operation. Meanwhile, United are also keen to strengthen their attack in January. Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the Red Devils have made a move to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The winger is currently with Ivory Coast at the AFCON. Featured image Carl Recine via Getty Images The Peoples Person has been one of the world’s leading Man United news sites for over a decade.
