Plenty of Manchester United wonderkids are eager to catch Michael Carrick’s eye as they look to claim a spot in the first team ahead of the new campaign. One area in which the head coach needs help from Carrington is the middle of the park, with Carrick keen for a revamp in the engine room. So far, Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans have been signed, but the Red Devils need at least one more addition, which has proved far more difficult than anticipated. This is where the likes of Dan Gore, Jacob Devaney, and Tyler Fletcher could potentially step up. As for Tyler Fletcher, it was a whirlwind end to the season for the Scotland international, as he earned a first team debut under Carrick and also made Scotland’s World Cup squad. The 20-time English league champions have one midfield spot up for grabs, and add Jim Thwaites into the mix, and it is clear that a few wonderkids will be left disappointed. INEOS will have to take a call on the future of several of these stars, with The Daily Mail claiming that Tyler is attracting interest from the Scottish Premiership.
