Promising young defender Tyler Fredricson appears to have played his final game for Manchester United. In January, a loan move to Celtic was lined up, but a calf injury scuppered the deal and he remained at M16. Permanent exit on the cards Now, a permanent departure looks inevitable. Simon Stone, writing in his BBC column, reports: “Defender Tyler Fredricson is not involved either before what is expected to be a permanent summer move away from Old Trafford. Europe is seen as a likely destination for the 21‑year‑old, whose proposed switch to Celtic in January fell through after he was injured before it could be completed.” It will be intriguing to see where Fredricson ends up, though it is unfortunate that his Manchester United career never truly took off. Even so, with Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven emerging, United’s defence appears well‑stocked. If the pair fulfil their potential, the backline should be secure for years to come. Fredricson is not the only defender linked with an exit. Noussair Mazraoui is wanted at AC Milan, while Harry Amass is also tipped to leave, though it will likely be on a loan deal.
