United’s plan to sign PL wizard under threat as Man City plot to snatch another target – report

With no natural left winger at Manchester United, that is a position Ineos must address this summer. Some of the finest wingers in Europe have already been linked with a move to Old Trafford. The Peoples Person recently relayed a report outlining a genuine transfer opportunity for United to swoop for Iliman Ndiaye. The Everton winger, described as “one of the best players in the Premier League,” has reportedly rejected multiple offers to sign a new deal with the Toffees. Ndiaye wants any contract extension to include a release clause that can be triggered as early as this summer, but Everton are resisting that demand. That contract standoff has many believing a top club could pull off a big-money swoop for the Senegalese international. Man City enter Iliman Ndiaye race Yet just as all eyes turned to Ineos to test Everton’s resolve over their deadly winger, a concerning update has dropped. Transfer insider Sebastien Vidal is reporting that “Manchester City are interested in Iliman Ndiaye to strengthen their attack this summer. Meanwhile, Everton could look to capitalise on that interest by making a significant profit on the Senegalese international and raising funds for their own transfer window.” First, it was Elliot Anderson, then Sandro Tonali, and now Iliman Ndiaye; it is as though Manchester City’s mission is to disrupt The Red Devils’ transfer plans at every turn. Unlike the Anderson situation, however, Ndiaye’s battle will be different Fortunately, apart from Anderson, who apparently favours the Etihad, both Tonali and Ndiaye are players Manchester United can go toe-to-toe with City for. If anything, it may prove easier to convince both men that they would play a more central role at Old Trafford than at the Etihad. That said, if United can win the race for Ndiaye and convince Everton to sanction the transfer, his threat on the left flank could take their attack to the next level. His ability to take on opponents would give United’s left side a genuine cutting edge, one that stops teams from focusing solely on shutting down the threat of Amad and Bryan Mbeumo on the right. Should this transfer go through, those two could end up being its biggest winners.
