United fans divided over whether club should pursue glamorous double CL winning midfield maestro this summer

Manchester United have taken major strides forward this season on the pitch as they sit in third place in the league with seven games of the season left. Midfield links After significantly upgrading last summer in attack and the goalkeeping department, the club is now set to focus on the midfield in the upcoming transfer window. The need is even more pressing with Casemiro leaving the club and Manuel Ugarte reportedly not having much of a future in Manchester. United have been linked to a plethora of targets, with Elliot Anderson seemingly being the club’s top target. Cameroonian Carlos Baleba was also of interest last summer and is still said to be high up on the club’s list of desired targets. Premier League stars like Sandro Tonali, Adam Wharton and Joao Gomes have also been discussed. The Red Devils have also been interestingly linked to long-term target Eduardo Camavinga, whose future at Real Madrid seems far from settled. As a result, The Peoples Person asked its readers whether or not he would be a good signing for the club to pursue this summer. Yes but no higher than €50 million There certainly was significant positivity towards a deal as 35% of respondents claimed that he would be a good signing but for no more than €50 million. Camavinga has won the Champions League with Madrid and is still only 23 years old but has had numerous injury concerns, perhaps scaring off some fans from wanting to pay a huge sum for the midfielder. Yes 20% of those asked claimed that the player would be a good signing regardless of the price tag and would bring some much-needed star power to the midfield and to replace the outgoing Casemiro. No Nonetheless, a significant proportion of voters also expressed caution when asked whether or not they should pursue the Frenchman. 22% of those asked felt that United should stick to Premier League-proven stars after the success of Cunha and Mbeumo. 14% of supporters also felt the deal should not take place as he has had too many injury concerns, and with players like Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt in the squad, another player of this ilk may not be that desirable for the fanbase. Finally, 9% of those polled felt that in spite of playing 215 times for Real Madrid and 29 for France, he was not good enough for United to pursue this summer.
