Manchester United under Michael Carrick have looked like a team revitalised as compared to the dark days under Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils have dispatched noisy neighbours Manchester City, while stunning league leaders Arsenal. They have also notched a dramatic late win against Fulham and eased past Tottenham Hotspur. Following their last-gasp draw against West Ham, United are currently five games unbeaten and are among the most in-form teams in the division. And the caretaker head coach has received his just reward — the Premier League Manager of the Month award at the first time of asking. Michael Carrick on fire The club’s brilliant performances have been difficult for INEOS to ignore, with the clamour to hand Carrick the permanent job growing by the minute.
