Manchester United had two players in loan action last night. To find out where all of United’s loanees are in action this season, click here. Sekou Kone ´ The Red Devils signed Kone from Guidars FC in his native Mali in 2004. He impressed in the academy and was given an opportunity during last year’s post-season tour of Asia. Unfortunately, he fractured an eye socket against Tamworth for United’s academy in August and missed the first weeks of the season. After spending most of January with Ineos-owned Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport, he officially joined them on loan. The young defensive midfielder, who has been compared to Yaya Toure, was given his first taste of professional senior football in Lausanne’s 1-5 loss to Thun in the Swiss Pro League. Kone played the final ten minutes of the match, completing 67% of his passes. He had five touches of the ball and did not win any of his duel attempts in a challenging introduction to senior football. The 20-year-old will hope to be given more time to make an impact when his new side face Servette on Sunday. Enzo Kana-Biyik The young French starlet was signed by United in the summer but was immediately loaned out to Lausanne as well. He has largely been a bench player this season and has only managed to score one goal in the entire campaign. Kana-Biyik played the final 18 minutes and completed 50% of his passes. The young striker made a clearance and also won 100% of his tackles and ground duels. He also won two aerial contests in a decent defensive outing. Sadly, he could have little impact from an attacking perspective, failing to have any sort of shot on goal.
