4 shots, 1 goal, 7/10 ground duels: this fiery player produced an attacking masterclass vs Bournemouth

Manchester United drew 4-4 with Bournemouth in what was a thrilling match filled with non-stop excitement. From beginning to end, this Premier League clash was filled with non-stop action as Man United and their opponents constantly traded blows on opposite ends of the pitch. While United’s defence left a lot to be desired, they produced an attacking masterclass that was nothing short of admirable. One of the key factors for their success up front was Amad Diallo. Fiery from the get-go From the very first whistle, Amad showed a burning desire to get onto the score sheet. He fed a pass to Matheus Cunha just moments after kick-off, only for the Brazilian’s shot to be blocked. Moments later, he took a shot of his own after being fed the ball by Mason Mount. A constant thorn in the side of the Bournemouth defence, Amad was rewarded for his efforts in the 13th minute. Diogo Dalot floated a threatening cross to Cunha, whose header was blocked by the keeper. Amad was well-placed to pounce on the rebound, heading his effort confidently into the net to hand United the advantage. In addition to his goal, Amad produced a respectable display, with his performance statistics making for impressive reading. One hit the target, while the other three were blocked. The winger was particularly good with the ball at his feet. He completed two of three dribbles while winning seven of 10 ground duels. The Ivorian’s passing was decent, with 23 of his 28 passes reaching their target (82% accuracy). He completed one of three crosses and one of two long balls. Amad also put some of his effort into supporting his teammates in defence. He made one successful tackle, one clearance, and two ball recoveries. While United’s defence was their let-down on the night, having an attacker like Amad is highly beneficial to Ruben Amorim, given his desire to lead his team to glory. So long as United tighten up at the back, Amad could become a key component in their attacking success.
