20-yo United target with 10g/a this season has no desire to leave European giants in January – report

Manchester United are working to get themselves back among Europe’s elite under the guidance of Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils are warming up to the Portuguese head coach’s tactics and have been on a promising run this season. The English giants have now lost just one of their last nine league games. They are sixth in the Premier League table after 15 games, with seven wins and four defeats. United have scored 26 goals, the third-most in the league this season. The attack has been rejuvenated following an investment of over £200 million over the summer, but there remains a need for further creative reinforcements. Bruno Fernandes, who has been outstanding in a deeper role this season, has once again been the team’s creative fulcrum. A recent report relayed by The Peoples Person states that the Red Devils have identified Arda Guler as an option to improve the team. Santiago Bernabeu’s emerging star Guler arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 from Fenerbahce and has slowly earned a name for himself at the Santiago Bernabeu. This season, the Turkey international has registered three goals and seven assists in 22 appearances for the LaLiga giants, 18 of which have been starts. Guler has been quite influential under Xabi Alonso, and his efforts have already caused a stir at the Theatre of Dreams. The 20 year old’s ability to carry out various roles in attack and midfield makes him a fine choice for the Premier League giants. The report adds that Liverpool and Arsenal are in the race as well, prompting talk of a possible bidding war in 2026. However, it now appears that securing the youngster’s services in the January transfer window will not be easy. Guler not looking to leave According to a report from Turkish-Football, Guler is settled at the Santiago Bernabeu and is not looking to leave in the winter. “Reports had suggested that Manchester United was accelerating contact with the player’s representatives, hoping to lure him to Old Trafford with the promise of a central creative role.” “However, sources indicate that Güler feels valued by the club and is fully committed to earning his place in the highly competitive Real Madrid starting XI.” “The decision effectively shelves any potential blockbuster move until at least the summer transfer window, allowing Güler to concentrate solely on the remainder of the La Liga and Champions League campaigns.” The update all but rules out a move in the winter, although United could rekindle their interest at the end of the season if the situation is favourable. Final Thoughts Guler is a generational talent who could be a fine addition to Amorim’s squad, but all signs indicate that prising him away from Real Madrid could be next to impossible. The youngster is under contract until 2029, so Los Blancos are under no pressure to let him go. Meanwhile, the Turkish midfielder also appears to be part of the Spanish giants’ long-term plans, and perhaps the Red Devils are better advised to move on to alternative targets.
